I think the 3rd point is mostly seen with those who live abroad.People tend to feel most comfortable when their phones are close-by so they could wake up when the alarm rings.Trust me,you don want to keep your phone some yards away when you have a 5 or 6am shift,do you? However,I really think every point made other than the 5th one is right.
