Gunmen reported to have been dressed in military uniforms have killed 10 persons in an attack on a pub in Heipang, Plateau State. The village is in a Christian-dominated area.
They simply walked in and opened fire on unsuspecting customers, the BBC reported on its Hausa service, quoting a military spokesman.
Eye witnesses said the attackers not only wore military uniforms, but also drove a kind of vehicle used by the army.
In a response, the army swiftly denied involvement, saying, “You can get camouflage clothes from the market."
Army spokesman, Capt Salisu Ibrahim Mustapha told the AFP news agency, “The gunmen opened fire indiscriminately on customers, killing eight on the spot while two others died later as a result of the gunshot wounds they sustained."
Mustapha said nothing connected the army with the killings, pointing out that in the past, criminals have donned army uniforms to undertake nefarious activities.
Common sense is indeed not common.

One of the attackers has wounds and is presently under medical care @plateau hospital. He is actually a police man, so dont say that the attackers dressed like military men cos they are actually military men.
