A shocking 70 percent of the world’s 210,000 children born with HIV are in Nigeria, Director-General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, John Idoko, said Tuesday.

Also, only 12 states are responsible for 70 per cent of HIV burden in Nigeria. "The issue is very difficult to understand and is unacceptable to us, given the fact that we now have the technology to interrupt mother to child transmission in Nigeria,” Mr. Idoko said.
