
Luiz's stunning strike and Skipper, John Terry's
double sees Chelsea return to third position
Chelsea moved back on top of Arsenal on the league
standings after a resounding 3-nil victory against
London neighbors Fulham at the Craven Cottage. The
host were on ascendancy and Brazilian defender
David Luiz gave the visitors the lead in the 30th minute
with a stunning 35-yard strike which swerved into the
net.
Skipper John Terry doubled the advantage two
minutes before the interval when he heading in Juan
Mata's cross following a Chelsea corner. Terry then
made sure the visitors would go home with all three
points after he reacted first to bundle in Torres' flick
header. Rafa Benitez men now sit in third position with
a target of remaining there.

Carlos Tevez's late strike send Wigan Athletic home
with nothing
Roberto Mancini's side were frustrated by a well
organized Wigan side. The away team started the
brighter side but failed to convert any of their chances.
But the first really opening of the game fell to city
defender, Kolarov. The defender's free kick was inches
wide of Joe Robles's post.
As the half wore on, City began to monopolize the ball
and were pressing high up the pitch but failed to make
their superiority count. Roberto Martinez's side almost
snatched the lead through Argentine striker Di Santo
but his effort was parried away by Joe Hart.
Just when it appeared the away fans were going to
take something home, up stepped Carlos Tevez to
produce a moment of quality and give his side all three
points. The win sees City 13 points behind leaders Utd,
with the citizens having a game in hand.

Ferguson's men came from behind twice to snatch a
point at Upton Park
Manchester United had to dig deep to prevent a West-
ham victory at the Upton park. Portuguese attacker,
Ricardo Vaz Te headed the home team in front after
conncecting with Andy Carroll's knock down. But
Antonio Valencia leveled matters 14 minutes later to
score his first EPL goal of the sesason. The
Ecuadorian was on hand to tap in a Shinji Kagawa
cross from 2 yards out.
10 minutes into the second half and the impressive
Mohammed Diame lifted the roof off Upton park. The
Senegalese midfielder sent a powerful, well struck left-
footed shot past De Gea into the net. But United were
not to be denied as Robin Van Persie was in the right
place at the right time to level the score with just under
15 minutes remaining.
Despite pressure from the United attack in the final
stages of the match, the Hammers defended stoically
to escape with a point.
