It was all guts, sweat and victory at the inaugural edition of the Okpekpe international 10km Marathon, a first of its kind to happen in the Etsako West local government area of Edo state.
According to promoters of the race, Okpekpe Road Race was of highest international standard with route measured and certified by the IAAF measurer. The race was endorsed by the IAAF and the AAC and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), with the backing of Glo, Malta Guinness Low Sugar and the Edo State Government as major partners.
