Police Arrests Lawyer and His Gang For ArmedRobbery

A lawyer who abandoned his practice to lead a
deadly armed robbery gang met his doom
recently when his gang was busted by men of
the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State command.
The lawyer, Babatunde Oretuyi was paraded with
11 other dare-devil armed robbers, who
specialises in robbing their victims of exotic cars
and other valuables like expensive phones,
laptops.
The State Police Commissioner, Mohammed
Indabawa, while parading the suspects, said the
arrest of Babatunde and his gang followed their
incrimination in the latest car snatching
operation in Ogbomoso and other towns in some
neighbouring states.
CP Indabawa said thorough investigation by men
of the State Anti Robbery Squad specifically
incriminated the lawyer as the main conduit for
the disposal of the vehicles snatched by the
deadly gang.
According to him, as at the last count, 11 of the
recovered stolen cars were traced to Babatunde,
who sold them to others who claimed to be car
dealers.
Paraded alongside Babatunde are; Olabode Seun,
27; Oyeyipo Ayomide, 26; Olanrewaju Ayomide,
23; Olatide Oladapo, 37; Abiodun Abdul- Malik
Ojulari, 32 and Afolabi Akeem, 30. The others
are; Isaac Nwose, 42; Segun Adeyale, 39; William
Asu Atta, 47; Patrick Ogah, 35 and David Umar,
39.
The police boss said on investigation, members of
the syndicate who often killed anyone who resists
them, said their confessions led to the arrest of
the entire syndicate members.
