Forbes has released its annual list of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities, with Oprah Winfrey getting back on top after two years as the runner-up. This is Oprah’s fifth time in the No. 1 spot.

The metric used to determine the list is a mix of money made, press mentions and social media power, which definitely explains why Justin Bieber made the Top 10 (he’s No. 9). The Forbes’ “marketability” score attempts to quantify the celebrities’ popularity and fame, based on polling of 46 different attributes for over 6,000 famous faces.

Last year’s No. 1 was Jennifer Lopez, who has slipped to 12th this year. Forbes says with “American Idol” no longer in the picture, Lopez doesn’t have the same buzz as she did a year ago. We say — leaving “Idol” was probably a great decision on her part.
