The governing council of the Ekiti State
University, Ado Ekiti, has dismissal six lecturers
from the institution. Deputy Registrar,
Information, Mr. Ajibade Olubunmi, said this in a
statement in Ado Ekiti.
Listing the offences of the sacked lecturers, the
statement read:
“The Governing Council of Ekiti State University
has approved the dismissal of three senior
academic staff of the university for alleged
offences of manipulation of examination scores,
plagiarism and failure to serve the university
after being sponsored abroad.
“Another three academic staff had their
appointments terminated for gross academic
misconduct, falsification of employment records
and segxwal harassment.”
The university however failed to disclose the
identities of the affected lecturers, to save them
the shame.
