fineboy at 26-01-2008 12:24 AM (17 years ago) (m) we have all heard the fantastic stories about someone who could not walk, see, talk e.t.c but went to some renowned babalawo and all of a sudden everything is set rite....on the other hand we have also heard the horror stories of these cures having terrible side effect due to herbs used. in Nigeria if we have noticed the dependence on traditional medicine seems to be on the increase and lots of people are fast losing their trust for modern medicine. so which do we think works best or can be trusted?......*note*- this is not a religious issue, i'm am just asking for honest opinions.
both are actually useful.but the problem with the traditional which NAFDAC is trying to put aright is to make sure of how efficacious they are and to ensure correct doses are taken by patients.a few have been acccredited. anyway i hardly fall sick but if it happens i go straight to my doctor.

ukoma at 21-02-2008 06:34 PM (17 years ago) (m) I think the choice is based on the expertise of the Doctor and on what they specialize on. the sickness may also be a factor why one should choose a particular way of cure-traditional or modern. for me, traditional is better although not all are clean or with sophisticated medicines or equipment for work.
