One-third of players of a female rugby team in Wales are pregnant, throwing the club into crisis.
The management of Kidwelly ladies’ rugby club is now searching for new players as most of their players are pregnant and a few retiring at the end of the season.
The players who have announced their pregnancies have left the club to focus on motherhood leaving the club very short of players.
‘We had a large number of girls getting pregnant unfortunately – five, a third of the team, and we have had a few who have retired, while some did not like all the travelling that was involved’ said the team’s manager Kim Hulance.
Kidwell’s Ladies’ rugby club is Wales Rugby Union Ladies’ Division 3 south.
