It is not difficult to get one....two things majorly push people into this...(1.) They already have a wife or girlfriend they intend to settle with and just need the paper. (2.) Has to do with planning and timing, most people doing this only have about 6 to 2 months, stay left on their visa, some less than that....that is not enough time tod find, befriend, date and marry a genuine wife....even if you meant the marriage to be genuine, a lots of ladies will look suspicious when you start talking about filing....the general rule of thumb is not allow about 6 months into the marriage before asking your wife about her assisting in filing, some will start thinking that you married them becos of the papers....do not get me wrong, some are very understanding, but this is not the norm.

Bottom line, to reduce suspicious; start out to start looking for genuine fiancée when you have about 2yrs left on your visa and for people, this might mean immediately they touch down on obodo Oyobo.

The 5K was an investment or seed money, he must have met many people that have done similar investment and it pan out for them. Like every investment, the risk of financial lost is inherite....I do not see him as dumb, he just have to invest wisely next time and carefully vet his business partners.
