It shouldn’t be too surprising to learn that being LeBron James has certain enviable perks. One of them? Having a dedicated police escort to help him beat traffic around Miami on the way to a Jay Z and Justin Timberlake concert on Friday night. Yep, James got to drive on the wrong side of the road, behind a cop, in order to make it to the concert at Sun Life Stadium on time. James tweeted his gratitude alongside an Instagram pic, writing, “They treat us so well! Needed it cause traffic was nuts!!” Glad James appreciated it, because not everyone in Miami felt the same way. Many fans (including the Minnesota Wild’s Jon Blum) weren’t especially psyched that local police seemed to be all about catering to James’ whims. Blum replied to James’ tweet with “what a waste of tax payers $$$.”
