It could have identity on him but not enough to pinpoint his exact place of origin. That is why it is important that if anyone knows of somebody who left on that and up until now there had been no contact from the traveller call the airport authorities.

It is important.

A name in a passport does not say much about who someone is especially as lots of people travel on fake documentation.

Having a passsport is not really enough ID. He may have some ID but it could be in his luggage and I dont see airport authorities going through thousands of luggage - that is if he had any.

Not everyoone travels with other ID on them especially when youknow whete you are going! The only other thing is that if anyone plsnned to meet him at his final destination - it is up to them to contact the relevant authority if he was not on the plane.
