May be Mohammed and his likes was the one Jesus was referring to in John 10:10. If you study the character of Jesus and His follows, there are completely opposite of Mohammed. Jesus was full of compassion, while Mohammed was full of hatred. Jesus restored lives, Mohammed condemned lives. Jesus was a solution and answer to the needy, while Mohammed was a problem to society. The Glorious Quran was revealed in a period of 23 years, it was not revealed all at once rather it was received by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on different occasions and incidents. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation in 610CE, in the Cave of Hira in the Mountain of Light (Jabale-Noor), two and a half miles away from the House of Allah in the city of Makkah in Arabia. The first revelation was the first five verses of Surah (chapter) Al-Alaq and the last revelation was the third verse of Surah Al-Maidah, which was sent down to the Prophet in 632 C.E. The gradual revelation of the Quran prepared the people to accept and then live the virtues, excellent manners, and lofty aspirations it demanded. The Quran was revealed in stages so that its audience could understand, internalize, and apply its prohibitions, commands, and reforms. Revelations came when the need for guidance arose or a demand for guidance on some incident was needed. If the Quran was reveled all at once, how would the followers have reacted to all its prohibitions and commandments? We know that for humans it’s not easy to leave bad habits and activities. Quran came not only to change couple of habits but it came as a complete code of life. So please lets maintain a healthy discussion here and stop being ignorant! If it is human life that Quran came to change, then that was the fundamental problems of Quran. Human life was the very life God gave to Adam which was corrupted by his transgression against God. And because that life was corrupted and God is righteous, fellowship between man and God was broken. Know this and make no mistake about it, God is not interested in religion, for if He does, He could have created one and gave to Adam, after all, when He created all living creatures, He brought them to Adam for naming.God was interested in fellowship with man. The Bible told us that life of every flesh is in the blood and because God cannot behold sin, He had to slew an animal to temporary cover the sins of Adam and eve so as to cover their nakedness with the skin of the animal instead of the leaves. That was why all throughout old testament, men offered animals as sacrifice to God as an atonement of their sins, and that was just for one year, after which they will come and repeat the same thing the following year.Now God is a God of order. He is a God of principle. He is a God of justice and not usurper and because of the love He has for mankind He had to find a way to reconcile man to Himself legally, and that was why Jesus had to come in the way He came into the world. Anybody that ever come to this way through man and woman is already condemned because of the sin of Adam. Jesus the Bible said is the son of the Holy Spirit. You may get that from the book of Matthew. Same Bible told us that Jesus was the word of God made flesh and dwell among us. There is no contradictions here because everything you ever see in this world came into existence through the word of God. God said let there be light, God said let there be firmament, God said let there be grasses and herbs etc etc.....; and all these creatures came into being by His spoken word.- refer to genesis you may understand this. So, Jesus was the only person that came to this world without sin and He was the only one qualified as a lamb fit for a permanent sacrifice and legally too. That was why He said, He is the way the truth and the life.No one comes to God but by Him only. Believe this simple and receive salvation. It's a gift. No one can work for it. It's by God's grace.
