If he can produce school photos or if ppl who schooled with him can identify  him as a school mate - let him be.

There must be a birth certificate, family pictures of those he grew up with that can easily verify this.

However I can accept the sceptism of people. More than 85% of birth certificates bear false birth dates. In some incidents its due to the illiterate parents who failed to register the birth of children. In some cases people lie to get visas, college/university admission, get into foriegn sports clubs, jobs etc.
