If he can afford it, then he can have as many women as he wants to, at least the women knows that they are being taken care of, but the first wife will get all the attention and time,moreover in those days as long as a man/king could provide women with shelter and food, the wives didn't care about other women, it's only when they are being neglected by their husband that they find alternatives,at least I know my family practiced it.Well if I choose to have another woman as a wife because I find her attractive wetin concern another man with my libido, na you dey provide for am, make una just watch una mouth ooo.

almost all african olden tradition supports it, so western civilization came along side with christainity and stop such practice but they are few that still hold on to the tradition as it was beleived that a man's wealth and strenght was measured by the size of his family
