Over the weekend, a 24-year-old lady, Tivere, was molested by a security guard – Kelly Ochuko- on Mutiatu Street, Ikotun, Lagos State, while returning from a vigil at the Synagogue Church of All Nation.
The incident happened around 2am.
Police source say Tivere had travelled to Lagos from Sapele, Delta State, to participate in Pastor Temitope Joshua’s midnight programme. Around 2am, she had left for her lodge when a 27-year-old Ochukwo allegedly accosted her.
Punch newspaper reports that the security man, who was employed by the Igando Landlord’s Association to guard the area got his victim after threatening to harm her with a cutlass. To avoid being murdered with the cutlas, she yielded and followed him into an uncompleted building where the act took place.
After having carnal knowledge of the 24-year-old, Ochuko was said to have pleaded with her to marry him, and exchanged phone numbers with her that night.
After being freed, the victim approached some policemen she saw at a junction and narrated her ordeal to them and the culprit was arrested.
He was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court, Lagos State on two counts of rape.
Although, Ochuko pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected summary trial, the magistrate, Ms Y.B Badejo-Okusanya, admitted him to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was further adjourned till March 4, 2014.

why not protect the girl that night and show her some little passion and love , then try to get her number, how would such woman marry you after rape and pain you made her pass through, if she accept just know that revenge is on the way, which is death.

Maybe he's had a hard time toasting ladies. Maybe they are all rejecting him. That's why he had to first of all have a carnal knowledge of a lady, and still want to marry her. Well, that was the wrongest way to go about it. He should have prayed to God to bring him his wife if he is ready for marriage. He must face justice.
