Religious Use and Significance. Jehovah commanded Moses to prepare “a holy anointing oil” that contained olive oil and other ingredients. With it, Moses anointed the tabernacle, the ark of the testimony, the various sanctuary utensils, and its furniture. Moses also used it in anointing Aaron and his sons, to sanctify them as priests to Jehovah. (Ex 30:22-33; Le 8:10-12) Kings were anointed with oil, as when Samuel, anointing Saul, “took the flask of oil and poured it out upon his head.” (1Sa 10:1) A horn of oil was used when Solomon was anointed.—1Ki 1:39. In collusion Anointed oil was used to anoint God's appointed kings & priests, not to heal of for business purposes

PASTOR i  want you to read this chapter of the bible.before conderming what GOD has made to be,maybe you has not been here..james 5..14   is any sick among you?,,let thim call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the NAME OF THE LORD,.we use olive oil to cook but when blessed it is blessed for prayers,,olive oil is a special oil,,have you seen someone who pray or blessing palm oil for any prayer?

James 5:14-15 - Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord
Exodus 35:8 - And oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense
Isaiah 61:3，
1 Samuel 16:1 - And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

I‘m not a Pastor but I read my Bible so no Man/God will deceive me, there are more than 30 verses of Bible in Old and new testaments that talk about the Oil, depending on how your Pastor preach them, how can some one liking anointing oil to Mosquitos repellent?

THE QUESTION IS TECHNICALLY ANSWERED BY TB; HE'S NOT CONDEMNING ANOINTING OIL JUST TRY TO EXPANTIATIATE ON IT THAT WITHOUT THE POWER OF GOD ENTERING INTO IT IT IS JUST A MOSQUITO REPELLANT.

IN OTHERS WORDS, YOU SHOULD TRULY BELIEVE THAT IT IS GOD THAT HEALS NOT THAT OIL YOU BUY FROM CHURCH ONLY WHEN YOU ARE IN TROUBLE. SOME PEOPLE DON'T PRAY TO GOD FOR HEALING BUT GO FOR ANOITING OIL EVEN WITHOUT PRAYER.
