There is no law in the Catholic that forbids that- this marriage is called in technical terms Disparity of Cult ( Both parties will have to see the Bishop of the Catholic diocese they want to get marry in and declare their intention. He is the only one that gives the authority for such marriage). The marriage in the Catholic Church is a sacrament. There are 3 form of marriage types- marriage btw two catholics, marriage btw a catholic and a Christian non Catholic (called mixed marriage) and the last marriage btw a catholic and a non Christian. The Catholic party will have to sign an undertaking saying he/she will remain a catholic and will have the kids baptised. The muslim party will have to sign an undertaking that he/she will respect the catholic party's freedom of religion. In practical terms both party are allowed to function but there are implications. The catholic marries the muslim to be the only one while the muslim if a man is entitle according to the details of his religion to marry more than one. The children as well are cut btwn both parents religion. Personally I believe both can function if they put love and respect for the individual into their relationship. I must tell you I know what you are going through, I am a Catholic and was about marrying a Muslim Man, this situation came up, I must say the Bible which is the word, explained everything to us Do Not , that don't marry an Unbeliever, cos you will mess yourself up, they don't love but only to destroy for the bible they come to seal, kill and destroy and that is what is going to happen to you if you marry him. If you Mind is against it don not it. the Bible say com out of them. Please am begging you do not marry him for you life. dear that is your way, god will giving change to you to new way but pls fine by your own. as a muslim sure your are welcome as new friend or sister, in Malaysia most of others convert to muslim and happy. one thing your child, we you build by married that your kids become half and this generation will dont where their wanted to go. by end their finish, so to save our kids by next future your have chosee to converated to muslim fine new way. god always with you.   for your family pls tell to them, god already giving my way like this.. we must belive it. even them choose catholic coz of god also. and put religion with harmony.... brother and sister never end.
