We Would Announce New Emir Of Kano On Sunday — Governor Kwankwaso

Following the death of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero on June 6, 2014, Governor of Kano state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has said a new Emir would be announced on Sunday.

Governor Kwankwaso made this disclosure during a a visit by Kano kingmakers, Madakin Kano,  Sarkin Bai,  Sarkin Dawakin Mai’tuta, and Makaman Kano who submitted the three shortlist to the Governor.
Meanwhile it was earlier reported today that former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and 29 others are candidates contesting for the position of the Emir of Kano.
