Quote from: papadip on 29-06-2014 08:11 PM You Omo-Jona that is not stupid please tell us ....how effective will it be? Your comment is senseless and you are as clueless as Mr. Jonathan. You don’t need to insult people if you don’t agree with them…. I am most baffled the way some of you talk. Nobody has the right to insult you but you keenly have the right to insult your president, rubbish. If you are privileged to get to the President's sit, can you sit there for one minute?. As there are millions of Nigerians, so there are millions of forces against the Leader of a Country, especially one like ours. Can you look back and tell me who has done better. Babangida, during his time, told the whole world that Nigerian economy has defiled all strategies. You all are making blind comments here, get some sense and allow this man to do his best.

Quote from: nametalkam on 29-06-2014 08:35 AM Federal Government Hires A PR Firm For $1.2 million To Help In Boko Haram Fight pls I just want to ask a question pls anybody can help me wit the answer...God is one nt two jesus is his son one nt two and as a christian I was told dat GOD sees everything dat he revew to redeem My Question is why is dat in nigeria thousands of pastors always sees evil things going to happen in nigeria and most of there prophesis will come to pass bt none of this pastors are able to stop it to hsppen wit there powers of vision or prayer none of them up till now is able to say anything abt the abducted girs those it mean dat they are better in seen evil things and publish it and at the same time pray for it to come to psss so dat people eill believe dem?? In the most ridiculous move ever, the Nigerian government has hired a Washington PR firm to help deal with the Boko Haram scourge. Although the Nigerian government has been unable to contain the group’s string of attacks or bring home 270 schoolgirls the group abducted in April, it just inked a $1.2 million contract with DC powerhouse PR firm Levick to boost its perception around the world, the Hill reported. Under the terms of the contract, the firm will try to put a shine on the image of President Goodluck Jonathan’s government, who is up for re-election in February. The firm will seek to shape “the international and local media narrative” around Nigeria’s “efforts to find and safely return the girls abducted by the terrorist organization Boko Haram,” according to the contract. The firm will help “mobilize international support in fighting Boko Haram as part of the greater war on terror.” ![]() Additionally, the firm will publicize “President Goodluck Jonathan Administration’s past, present and future priority to foster transparency, democracy and the rule of law throughout Nigeria.” The Nigerian government has already gotten some high-profile publicity that spotlighted its crisis — a tweet by First Lady Michelle Obama holding a sign with the hashtag “#Bring Back Our Girls.” Jonathan cut short a trip to Equatorial Guinea for an African summit after a bomb blast in the Nigerian capital of Abuja on Wednesday killed 21 people. Extremists kidnapped 91 more people over the weekend, the Associated Press reported. Lanny Davis, an executive vice president at the firm, said, “For me, after talking to him, the priority for President Jonathan beyond any is finding and bringing home the girls.”

Not all attempt by the president should be critisice in the fight of islamist fools, every attempt to fight them and bring an end to this evil act should be supported. Leadership is not just to sit in front of your laptop and criticise, it is about carrying the interest of 160 million people in your small head and having the good, the bad and the worst as members of house of senate, house of assembly, governors, ministers name them it is very depressing for a responsible leader unless you have fools that will say i have not seen people eating from the dust bin. ReplyThe president need us just as we need him. Imagine if there is a conflict the common man dies first, if the common man will take the interest of his safety as priority, the security agents will have less work to do. If the president decide to hire an expert, there is nothing bad in it. Dont complain of money because if enough money was spent and those dead are alive today it will be credited as good work to the government. Let us support the security agent by passing any information you see day or night to the relevant office and let us flush out this good for nothing people in nigeria.

It is not an insult it is criticism pure and simple. You are one of the reasons why this country is stagnated…… So what you are saying is; it is an America PR firm that will resolve the crisis in Nigeria and locate the kidnapped kids? That’s dumb. Nothing will be achieved. Let me ask you; will the PR Firm “Bring Back The Girls”…? In response to your question if I am privileged to be the president? My answer is I’ll perform better and if not I’ll resign. That’s the way it should be done in democracies. To criticize the president is not rubbish it comes with the job especially when you have a lame duck president. The president is the servant of the people. You tell me the accomplishments of this presidency. Corruption is even far more serious than before. You are baffled because you are not using your upstairs… You are baffled because of your misguided loyalty To hell with Babangida and the past presidents. ….. ….we’ve not had any good government since January 15, 1966.

Quote from: kolasolar on 30-06-2014 05:37 AM I agree with you completely. The president is trying his best. The only problem is that his best sucks. You understand? For example, if you hire me to bring you a bucket of water but I bring you a spoon of water and I tell you I have tried my best. Will you keep me as an employee? Only a very stupid boss will do so. I therefore agree with you that we are stupid people. We are stupid for not kicking this president out of town. We are stupid for not shouting from the mountain top IMPEACHMENT! IMPEACHMENT! Impeach the bastard. He is inept, his government inefficient, corrupt and totally worthless. You can call us stupid people because we hired this man to bring us a bucket of water but he only brought a teaspoon of water. Then you said the man is trying his best so we let him keep his job. You are absolutely right we are stupid people. God bless you o Elmatado. Well said and supported.........
