According to report, heavy bomb blast rocked the busy Monday Market in Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, killing many who had gone to their market for their legitimate businesses.
A Borno government state government official confirmed the blast to SR, saying the causality number is very high but stated that security agencies are working to secure the area and rescue victims…
Eyewitnesses told SR that the bomb went off during a busy morning at vicinity of the market. The real number of casualties in the unfortunate incident could not be immediately verified as security agencies are said to have condoned off the scene to secure the market.
This is like the first major bombing by Islamist sect Boko Haram since the beginning of the Ramadan. Smh!
