A 63- year- old man, identified as Izora Michael, allegedly died in a beer palour on Sunday at Idiroko in Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, the deceased, who resided in Ode Ogun area of Idiroko, had on the fateful day, arrived at the beer parlour around 7.05pm and ordered for bottle of beer.
Tragedy, he said, struck before he could drink the beer.
Adejobi said, “The man was reported to have slumped shortly before taking his bottle of beer and was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was eventually confirmed dead. ”
He added that the death of Michael was later reported at the Idiroko Police Divisional Headquarters by the proprietor of the relaxation centre identified as Mathew Emmanuel.
Emmanuel allegedly told the police that the man did not show any sign of ill-health at the time he arrived at the beer parlour, which prompted him to serve him his request before the tragic incident.

Though he described the death as “sudden and unnatural”, Adejobi however explained that police detectives had visited the scene, and discovered no foul play.
He explained that the corpse of the man had since been released to members of his family for burial after they declined any post-mortem examination.
