The couple had two boys, ages 4 and 5.
According to authorities, one of the kids allegedly found condoms while playing with his mother’s purse.
The father, 32-year-old Keith Belajonas of Pennsylvania, became infuriated by the find. He later went through his wife’s purse and allegedly found a love letter from a prison inmate in her purse.
In a jealous fit of rage, Keith killed his 28-year-old wife, Christina Corrigan-Belajonas, at their home before jumping into his car with their two children.
He drove to New York.
Belajonas reportedly committed suicide after leaving the children with his brother, who works at a CVS pharmacy.
His car was spotted on a street in Staten Island, as police were getting ready to arrest him.
Belajonas shot and killed himself, leaving his two boys orphans.
