In my humble opinion, I think Yvonne Nelson is right in every way to choose not to participate in the ALS challenge. However, the reason she gave for not taking up the challenge is just a flimsy excuse. If she had use Ebola as an excuse for not participating, some of us would have boldly support her. By the way, ALS is not an epidemic in West Africa, Ebola is. Why are African celebrities not engaging in any challenge to raise funds to kick out Ebola like the West is doing with ALS? The two American doctors that were infected with Ebola were discharged today Ebola free. What does that tell you? If the American doctors were not infected no one in Africa would have known that there is a secret serum that can treat the deadly Ebola virus. The ALS challenge is not going to benefit Africans in any way so why bother? We need Ebola challenge, not ALS. Yvonne Nelson do what you think is right.

Before you criticize Yvonne Nelson, I want you to know that she hasn't committed any crime. She only chose not to follow people blindly. Why do we always copy the west without thinking about it? ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a typical Caucasian disease. It has no roots in Africa. We the people of Africa need to stand up together and kick Ebola out before it claims more lives. Ebola kills it victims within weeks which is very scary. While ALS takes between 3-5 years before it claims it victims. We should all be ashamed of ourselves for criticizing Yvonne Nelson for standing up for the truth. We have more problems starring us in the face as Africans, what are we doing about it? The white man will eventually kick ALS out while thousands of Africans will still be dying from the deadly Ebola. May God help us all.
