TBJ is not a building engineer, he did not go to pull the building down to kill the occupants; buildings has been previously collapsing, catching fire, and more the world over, the builder and state government should are both culpable in all of this. There are rules, regulations, policies, which a qualified engineer should follow when given a contract such as in this case, if he failed to follow the SOP {standards of operational procedures}, he is the one that defaulted and not the one that hired him/her. The same goes to the government body that oversees buildings or infrastructures, they cannot claim ignorant of the presence of the building and that standards were not followed as at the time the building was erected; they bowed low on their duty. The security in the Synagogue does not surpass that of the State or government agencies. If I give you a contract and you perform a shoddy job and or did not get all the certifications/permits from the authorities, and after completion, you make me believe you that all is well; what would you expect me to do?
As for those who claim that at the point when the building collapsed, that rescue/emergency services were prevented by SCOAN officials, those Nigerian or state agents should be relieved of their jobs immediately as that was dereliction of duty. The powers of the SCOAN security cannot supersede that of the state. Prophet TB Joshua is just human who means well for others. People should stop pestering him with all these abuses. Nigeria would have been haven of a place if the government can reach out to the people at least one quarter of the way this Prophet has touched the people's lives! Mr. Ibekwe, why the fuss about the 50k. If you rejected it, that should be the end of the matter. There is nothing unusual about giving you guys brown envelope.  It is even a sin against journalists if they attend your press conference and you did not give them transport money or can you swear that you have never collected one in the past. I see your action as cheap blackmail.
