
Akure—A man, Ilesanmi Omojuyigbe, 35, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old boy, Babatunde Adebayo, at Iju area of Ondo State.
Vanguard gathered that the victim was lured to the suspect’s room on the pretext that he wanted to buy frozen fish from the boy.
The victim, on entering the room, was said to have been held down and his trouser forcefully torn before the suspect defiled him.
His mouth was said to have been covered by the suspect so that his cries and shout would not attract neighbours to his house.
After the indecent act, the suspect appealed to the victim and promised to buy him whatever he wanted.
The matter was said to have been reported to the police, while the suspect was later arrested.
Police image maker, Wole Ogodo, said the suspect lived at 24, College road, Iju, in Akure North local government area of the state.
He pointed out that the suspect had confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court.
In another development, Ogodo said four persons had been arrested for cultism in Okitipupa area of the state.
The suspects, according to him, are “Augustine Belief, 22, Adie Kelly, 22, Ikenna Ekenna Eze and Okepeke Ogechukwu, 28, all living in Okitipupa Town.”
Ogodo said other members of the group were still at large.
