Pope Francis warned that he was ready to “punch” anyone who insulted his mother. The pontiff said this on Thursday in remarks made en route to the Philippines from Sri Lanka, that“ there are limits to freedom of expression and my mother was the limit.
“We have a duty to speak openly, to have this freedom, but without offending others. “It’s true that you cannot react with violence, but if my aide Doctor Gasbarri, who is a friend, badmouths my mother, a punch would be coming for him,” he added.
The Pope said in relation to recent events in Paris that violence in the name of religion can never be justified, but that there are “limits” to freedom of expression. “Many people badmouth religion, mock it, play with other people’s religion. “It can happen, but there are limits, every religion has dignity, every religion that respects life and human beings has a dignity, and you cannot mock it,” he added.
Pope warned that “You cannot provoke, insult, ridicule other people’s faith,”.

how is that a good talk,said if some one insult his mom,he will punch them,see comon example of my kind,that`s why men can never be god,if not,this one go collect the breath he gave you if you insult his mom

why must you insult his mother? ok can you insult Jesus Christ Mother? Mother Mary... if you do God will punish you for that. he may not punch you but will punish you for that... the word is meant for WISE PEOPLE not Olodo's like u

I am sure that the Son of man Christ the Lord Jesus Christ HIMSELF deny His mother, brothers and sisters before a MULTITUDE without using VIOLENCE. Religion cannot be taken from VIOLENCE because it belongs unto the CROWD and the CROWD belongs unto Satan. Hugs

Good talk from a highly respected person. He is not God. I cherish his bravery; not a lot of pastors will come out clean like that. They prefer to keep chasing shadows.

How many people condemning the Pope - will NOT defend their mothers honour. He was HONEST enough NOT to pontificate and LIE and say he would turn the OTHER CHEEK whdn he knows he will NOT!
