Actor Muna Obiekwe died yesterday's afternoon around 4:15pm in a hospital in Lagos after a battle with kidney failure. He was rushed to the hospital today after he collapsed at his home.

Obiekwe had been battling with kidney disease for a long time which he reportedly kept secret from his colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry…
Muna has been quietly battling this kidney disease but kept it hush hush from friends and colleagues.

Muna needed money for his health problems but instead of going public to raise money, he told friends he was planning a stage play to raise money but died before he could do it. Unbelievably sad!

Meanwhile, the fake twitter account that caused the chaos yesterday by tweeting that he was alive later confessed to be fake.

Muna needed money for his health problems but instead of going public to raise money, he told friends he was planning a stage play to raise money but died before he could do it. Unbelievably sad!

Meanwhile, there’s some twitter handle called @MunaObiekwe that’s denying his death. That is not Muna! Unfortunately the real one is gone.

He did not die due to lack of money but due to the poor state of health services. If it had been diagnosed early his chances of survival would have been better.

As long as our leaders and the rich continue to fly to foriegn lands for doctor and dentist appointments and check-ups, the less chance of survival for the AFRICAN CONTINENT.

Look at the ebola outbreak!

May his soul rest in peace.
