Lol, no offence even if it sounds a tard offensive but i don't know where u guys keep getting needy, lovesick puppies from. If you don't call her can't she pick up the phyuking phone and call you?

Communication is part of the things that build up a strong relationship...i will say yes to your question poster calling partner everyday show you really care and love he/she.
To  ur own case the girl is a jealous person....because u didn't called her for two she thinks u cheating on her...why can she call u and ask what the problem is?iz it most only u ave to do the calling?anywAy poster explain to her the reasons behind ur situation that u were unable to get intouch with her...and also tell her..she too,should also call you.
