A few days ago we told you about Nollywood actress Susan Maxwell‘s claims that 80% of Nigerian men prefer light skinned women over dark skin women. The actress and skin bleaching cream seller (who I will admit I had never heard of prior to her comment) has received a lot of backlash for her statement, most recently from Olisa Adibua.

The popular media personality stood up against bleaching on his Beat 99.9 FM Morning Rush Show yesterday.

I think it is disgusting and horrible. I don’t believe most Nigerian men love women with fair skin… In fact, being natural is most preferable. Most women who bleach end up with darker knuckles and knees like its not part of their bodies. They also have a very horrible smell.
