The death has been announced of Dan Maraya Jos. The veteran musician passed away today, 20th June 2015, after a brief illness. In his lifetime, Dan Maraya Jos was best known for playing the kontigi. Dan Maraya Jos, whose name means “The Little Orphan of Jos”, was born in 1946 and died today in B’ukur, near Jos in Plateau State.
