
President Muhammadu Buhari just appeared on a less than 10 minute exclusive interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. The interview aired at 7pm Nigerian time. Buhari who is on his first official visit to the United States as president spoke to Amanpour in a pre recorded interview from Washington DC.

- He is not against negotiating with Boko Haram for the safe return of the abducted Chibok girls and others that have been abducted by the terrorist group.
- He can be held to his promises he made during his campaign.
- He pledges he will fight corruption saying, “no party member or personality” engaging in corrupt practises will escape justice.
- He wishes Obama had Nigeria on the list of countries to for his upcoming African trip.
- He will extend a formal invitation to Obama to visit Nigeria.
