Sunday Oliseh will begin his reign as Super Eagles boss, with an unfamiliar looking side against Tanzania on Saturday.
FC Taraba captain, Usman Mohammed, would have started the AFCON 2017 qualifier, but did not impress Oliseh in their last friendly against Abuja Football College.
Consequently, Ukraine-based Lukman Haruna will take his place in the midfield.
A top official told AfricanFootball.com: “Usman will now start from the bench against Tanzania because he did not follow the tactics during the team’s last friendly.
“Lukman Haruna will now be the attacking midfielder, playing behind the top striker, Emmanuel Emenike.”
Solomon Kwambe will start at right-back in place of the injured Leon Balogun, while Gent winger, Moses Simon will take his spot at the left side of attack.
Wolves’ goalkeeper will make his debut, in the absence of Vincent Enyeama who is bereaved.
Kick-off time is 2.30pm Nigerian time.
Eagles starting XI vs Tanzania: Carl Ikeme – Kingsley Madu, Solomon Kwambe, William Troost-Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, – Izunna Uzochukwu, Obiora Nwankwo, Lukman Haruna, Moses Simon, Ahmed Musa (skipper), Emmanuel Emenike.
