Capital punishment all over the world is being jettisoned today. This is because, over time, the world has executed innocent people, and turned around to realise much later (after the person is gone) that they killed an innocent man!

Worse, in Nigeria, where it does appear that the C-i-C is the Alpha and Omega, a President can easily annihilate his enemies with trumped up charges of corruption. Any right-thinking human being would opt for life in place of death sentence for heinous crimes.

I see your point and am forced to agree with you on this as well, though i have a different opinion on that as i strongly support the death penalty. But on account of framing the innocents which is very rampant in Nigeria I'd say life imprisonment will fine... At least if an innocent man is jailed, maybe the truth might surface later and he will be freed...

Dem neva see anything. Death sentence is even too small. It should be instant execution. Why is Fayose and others afraid if their hands are clean?

What i can say is that they won;t sign it into law...

I'd be happy for death penalty, but given the circumstances i think Life imprisonment would be just fine...

In Nigeria, a poor man steals chicken, angry mob sets him on fire and a politician steals billions of public fund, and gets only a slap on his wrist. Which way Nigeria?
