Warri Wolves who finished as runners up in the recently concluded season have put their players under intense hardship as they have failed to pay their players.

The Players have not been paid by the owners of the club for the past seven months and have also been owed 100 percent sign on fees and match allowances in the 2014/2015 season.
The club have also not paid 15 percent of sign on fees from the 2013/2014 session including 7 CAF confederations Cup match bonuses this year.
It was revealed that one of the players of the team is currently suffering a serious ordeal with so many financial obligations coming his way. He has been unable to settle his Wife’s hospital bills as she just gave birth to their fourth child through Caesarean Operation
Warri Wolves have the highest goal scorer with 17 goals at the just concluded season Gbolahan Salami in their squad

Life has also become unbearable for the Delta-state born Tejiri who is unable to send his first three kids to school. Players of the team protested last September but the state Government have done nothing about the current challenge facing the Seasiders.
The League Management Company have not been able to sanction the club as threats of deduction of points are abortive.
Coach Paul Aigbogun and his technical team are also not left out of the salary crisis plunging the club amidst speculations that Sunshine Stars are reportedly chasing the light skinned tactician.
There were reports that the President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick tried to get investors to buy Warri Wolves, a move which the Delta State Government turned down.
“The State Government has refused to sell the club and also refused to fund the club” a reliable source confirmed.
Warri Wolves have not been the only club with salary issues in the Nigeria Professional Football League. The likes of Dolphins, Sharks, El Kanemi Warriors amongst others are also involved in payment crisis.
My Take: Appeal goes to the Delta State Government to pay these players who have sacrificed their time and energy to bring glory to the club despite playing on empty stomachs.
