On Friday morning, youths attacked and looted the Delta City Mall (popularly called Shoprite). They vandalised properties and carted away valuable goods. According to eyewitnesses, the security at the Delta mall fled when they saw the number of youths and the police only arrived the scene after the havoc had been done. The shops in the mall have remained close and the premises is quiet.

This is not how youths should voice their fustration, this is not constructive, and in the long run, its negative impacts will affect all, the system has to find a way of raising strong independent, hardworking, experienced and creative youths.
