Iran goalkeeper arrested for indecent photos Goalkeeper of the Iranian men football national team, Sosha Makani was arrested last week after he allegedly broke Iranian cyber laws. Makani, who plays for Iranian side Persepolis, was arrested for posting what was deemed indecent photos on his social media pages.
Makani and his legal team claimed his social media profiles were hacked, and that the hacker somehow managed to acquire the photos and share them.
The country’s law states:
Quote
According to Article 17 of the cyber crimes law, “Any person who publishes private or family photos or videos of others through the Internet without their permission, in such a way that causes them harm or disrepute, will be punishable from 91 days to two years in prison or fined from five million rials (about $168) to 40 million rials (about $1340) or both.”
Makani was released after posting bail today. See the indecent photos below, courtesy Deadpsin.
