am confused

they are many asking me for a relationship but my heart does not take any of them because i just experienced a heartbreak. you can imagin dating a guy for 6 years. he keeps on promising you saying he can never leave you,infact marriage. you are faithful to him. you turn all other men down then a question comes up in your mind and you ask him.......who are i to you and your family?  imagin an answer," my family does not know you,its me that wants you" you ask again,where is this relationship taking us to? "marriage" wen ? "3 to 4 years time" plssssssss,advice me as if you are advicing your sister. i need truth. he claims he owns me. i do not really know.
