This lady is not a virgin, and has come of age to make her own decisions. If you do not trust enough to make decision of a marry she would marry, how would u then trust her to make decisions in her career which revolves around/involves people's health/life? Grow up old man, u made your choice when u got married, peradventure without any pressure from your parents. Just because u paid her school fee, just because u are the father, just because u paid her way to adulthood, does not give the right to decide for an adult whom to marry. Our society is no longer in the age long slumber, please stop the big-man mentality, allow the lady to follow her heart. The father is 100% right, I really don't knwo how come people now take that word civilization in other way round, how can you be getting married without your father's blessings? where is our calture, where is our tradition as Africans? that boy must also be a fool to marry a girl without the father or mother and that is when the father is not available,some of the brothers and sisters will also be there to witness the marriage, This is a union that need a blessing, I see reason the why marriage no longer last long, because of things like this.
