Reportes reaching us now reveals that Ali Modu Sheriff has led his group to storm the national secretariat of the opposition PDP early on Monday morning to takeover the party's affairs. Premium Times has exclusively reported that this Monday morning, the embattled immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led his group and stormed the Wadata Plaza National Secretariat of the opposition party to take over the affairs of the party.
Sheriff who was the chairman before the party’s national convention held in Port Harcourt bon May 21, was however prevented from gaining entrance to the secretariat by security operatives.
Recall that before leaving the Rivers State capital on the convention day, he announced the cancellation of the convention, citing court orders. Other leaders of the party however ignored him and went ahead with the convention and also announced his sack and the appointment of a caretaker committee headed by former Kaduna State governor, Ahmed Makarfi.
Another group, led by a former Minister of Information, Jerry Gana, also held a parallel convention in Abuja and announced a former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu, as the new chairman of the PDP.
Some leaders of the party had last week announced that a reconciliation meeting had resolved all the issues, paving the way for the resumption of Makarfi and his committee at the secretariat. They also claimed that the Sheriff group agreed to the reconciliation moves. But shortly afterwards, Sheriff insisted that he remained the national chairman of the party.

Born to rule
Copied The Amanyanabo of Okrika kingdom has a lot of oil wells situated in his kingdom. He has no oil well. But the Sultan of Sokoto has over 10 oil wells in Niger Delta. The Amanyanabo of Bonny in Niger Delta has oil wells in his kingdom, but he has no oil well to his name but The Emir of Kano has over 5 oil wells in Niger Delta territories. The Amanyanabo of Kalabari has so many oil wells in his kingdom but has no oil well to his name in his kingdom but the Emir of Gwazo has over 5 oil wells in Niger Delta territories. In Ogonilands there are so many oil wells but none of the kings in Ogonilands have any oil wells but General Danjuma has over 10 oil wells in Ogonilands. The list can go on but Niger Delta people and their kings don't have oil wells . Such a situation, will you say it is fair to the Niger Delta people in Nigeria? Let's restructure and live in unity. The cheating is very bad and not fair. This is the bane of the corruption in Nigeria. Its like holding lamp for a stranger as he is molesting ur wife....God forbid bad thing

Poverty is the true bane of Nigerian politics! By the time you hear how much these chaps are paid for this act, you'd wanna puke! Because they're "expatriates", it shouldn't be more than 200 to 500 Naira per diem.
