 You still won't compare the numbers here in Lagos to the
 numbers over there
 Coupled with the attendant social miscreants that attack
 innocent people in their cars

There are hawkers everywhere abroad, they are called salesmen. Many of them don't carry goods on the head and run after traffic. Much as it is a laudable idea if there is arrangement to keep them off the streets and engaged in something useful, it will be much better because if all these
guys enter street to do evil, that one be say the gobe don dey go Mowe.
But the truth remains that if these hawkers are put off the street, Lagos will lose a part of its 'flavour' and identity and also, pple fit dey die from thirst and hunger when stuck in traffic.

in the hot summer season,...Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx is like Lagos.....selling almost anything on the street sidewalks and corners.
