This is the unbelievable moment a runner-up was so angry about losing the crown that she snatched it right off the winner's head.
According to Dailymail, the incident occurred at an annual beauty and folk dance contest in the city of Neiva, in the south-western Colombian department of Huila.
The judges chose as the winner 20-year-old law student Valentina Bonilla Neira, who was awarded the title of 'The National Bambuco Queen' after a traditional Colombian music genre.
However, dissatisfied, the runner-up, Yeimy Lizeth Silvestre Gamez, from the capital Bogota, decided to snatch the crown off Valentina's head in protest.
She made a lunge for the tiara during a photo session, before placing it on her head and glancing towards the audience.
Then she shoved it back on the winner's head and stormed off stage. The Bambuco Pageant and Folkloric Festival, which started in 1961, is held at the end of June as part of traditional festivities to mark the Feat of St Peter and St John.
Contestants come from each of Colombia's 32 departments, and are judged on several parameters.
These are beauty, general knowledge, popularity, punctuality and the performance of two types of traditional dances. It attracts people from across Colombia as well as hundreds of tourists.
