Benue State House of Assembly in a rowdy session today, 19th of July over a reported impeachment of principal officers.
Strong rumours circulating the Nigerian news wire reveals the House of Assembly in Benue State ended in the exchange of verbal and physical assaults by members over a disagreement.
According to unconfirmed reports, it all started when one lawmaker, Hon. Kester Terna-Kyenge representing Logo Local Government Area moved a motion but the Speaker of the House Terkimbir Ikyange overruled the motion.
It was also gathered that Hon. Kester physically assaulted the speaker before he adjourned the sitting till Thursday 21st July 2016. This later led to a free for all fight.
There is no official report from the lawmaking body in Benue State concerning the incident.
I have been reporting for several years now and I am very interested in visual news reportage with strong inclusion of photos and video multimedia.
