Nigeria’s U-23 team have arrived back in the country, after they won bronze in the men’s football event of the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil. The Dream Team VI touched down in Lagos on Monday night.
Some of the squad members flew to their bases in Europe directly from Brazil.
However, some players like left-back Stanley Amuzie, midfielder Saliu Popoola and new Al Ahly of Egypt striker, Junior Ajayi, landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos with the rest of the squad.
The delegation was led by coach Samson Siasia.
They are expected to be hosted by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Sports Ministry, both in Lagos and Abuja.
