Juventus and Sevilla meet in the Champions League 2016-17 group stage on Wednesday.

These are the two favorites of Group H, making this battle all the more crucial for both sides. The winner of this group likely gets an easier second round opponent, while the runner-up could be subjected to a short tournament with the wrong draw in the next round.

The two teams are familiar with one another, having competed in Group D of last year's tournament. Juventus took the win at home by the score of 2-0 while Sevilla won its game at home 1-0. However, Juventus would win three of its six games while Sevilla would lose four and only win two.


Sevilla would go on to win the Europa League, qualifying the side for this year's tournament; Juventus' tournament would come to an end in the round of 16 at the hands of Bayern Munich.
