Manchester United host Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend.

The Old Trafford outfit will look to build on their mixed start to the season with a win here and close the gap with title rivals Manchester City.

City travel to White Hart Lane this week and Mourinho will be hoping for a favour from Pochettino’s men.

Manchester United have looked very impressive in the League Cup as well as against Leicester after a run of three consecutive defeats against City, Feyenoord, and Watford.

The Red Devils are sixth in the Premier League standings and could climb to the second position if they win against Stoke City and other results go their way.

Apart from Phil Jones, Jose Mourinho has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Sky Sports are claiming that Rooney is set to be dropped from the starting lineup once again on Sunday. In that case, Mkhitaryan could start in behind the Swedish striker.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been left out of the Europa League game against Zorya tonight and will be back fresh for the weekend clash against Stoke.

Stoke City have made a very poor start to their Premier League season so far.

The Potters are yet to win a single game in the league and are under immense pressure to deliver.

Mark Hughes will be hoping for a lift before the international break and this is the perfect opportunity for them to get their act together.

On current form, a win over Manchester United seems highly unlikely. But if the home side performs like they did against Watford, Stoke will have a chance.

Stoke City will be without the likes of Butland, Afellay, Ireland for the trip to Old Trafford.
