No fewer than eighty-five Nigerians were on Friday deported from London in the United Kingdom for immigrations and criminal related offences. The deportees who landed at the shore of the country at about 6.am with a chartered aircraft consisted of 59 males, 13 females and 13 minors. The aircraft with flight registration number GCORJD from London left immediately the deportees disembarked.

The sources disclosed that the deportees were handed over to their relations having being contacted by them earlier while those who could not locate their relatives were led out of the airport in order not to constitute nuisance within the airport vicinities.
One the deportees narrated his ordeal: “We were maltreated. I am I cleaner in a telecommunications company in London. I went to work and on my way home I had an encounter with the London Metropolitan Police asking for my brown paper and I told them it is at home.

That was crude if indeed they werent given a fair treatment a lot of Britons are having a good time in Africa and we give them all the respect .  why not detain people pending investigations to determine their true status   Anyhow no one knows the truth of the matter - maybe deportees just yarning dust to save face

...I went to work and on my way home I had an encounter with the London Metropolitan Police asking for my brown paper and I told them it is at home.

THIS STATEMENT IS A PURE LIE, METROPOLITAN POLICE WILL ONLY ARREST YOU WHEN YOU COMMIT A CRIME AND THEY WILL DO SO WITH RESPECT; (not like naija police).  They will then refer to the national data base for your immigration status; no matter where your paper is , they must drive you to your house to retrieve it. they will provide you with all the time you need to proof your identity.
UK will never deport anyone with up-to-date papers, unless you commited a serious crime.

These people that were deported are either over-stayers or criminals.

For those ones, who were not having regulary residence permission and only staying illegally there, then they should not complain nor wonder. The police was doing only his job. A country needs to be kept in order.

On the other side i was withness, when german foreigner office tried to deport somebody and anyhow against the law. I was able to save this person from deportation, but received mistreatment by myself as german born citizen from the foreigner police. I got the impression, that they employ only germans with no heart and hatred against foreigners in that department. It was visible, that they dont welcome new immigrants. Later the foreigner office tried to play other unfair tricks to avoid official residence permission.

this is to the brother that thinks they deport only people that do not have up to date visas in the UK,speak about what you know or atleast visit the varous detention centres in the Uk and u will learn u knw nothing about immigration and u have been suckered by oyinbo ppl 2 think they are better and more effective than us. I know a student that paid the full international fees but was still deported because he worked 8 hours more than he was suppose 2 and he was a stopped in my presence, with the police sayin' there was a marker on his name as the home office wanted 2 talk 2 him........ And to those that think these ppl give 9ja a bad name, look within 9ja 4 d enemy cos most of the 9ja ppl doin' shit jobs would have stayed home if a few bunch of pricks did not decide to make the national treasury, there  personal piggy bank... And while u gettin' a hard on from some1 elses misfortunes, tell the immigration in 9ja to go to 90% of the foreigners in 9ja,mainly d westerners.... u will be shocked by d amount of them that have violated our visa laws.....

Listen to yourself; Students are not suppose to work more than 20hrs a week, and you student friend worked 8 hours more, that means he had broken the privilege given to him or her. For your information, having a visa to any country is a privilege not a right. Police cannot arrest you for immigration laws; only when you are placed on wanted list.

Your problem and mine is , WE DONT LIKE TO OBEY THE LAW,  if westerners and foriegners disobeys naija laws and were not arrested; who is to blame? people who disobey they law or people who are to execute the law.

As far as am concern, UK is a country where if you disobey the law, you will be nicked for it, if you are talking of detention centres; be honest and let us know why people are put in a detention centre.
