An accounts staff with the Katsina State Government is currently in serious trouble after some millions of Naira belonging to the Finance ministry disappeared from his car's booth.  A civil servant identified as Abubakar Aliyu, who is an accounts staff with the Katsina State Government, is presently assisting Police detectives over the mysterious disappearance of N13 million inside his car’s booth.

According to Reporters, the man who works in the finance department of the state Ministry of Women Affairs, said the money was meant to offset some of the ministry’s financial obligations.
It was gathered that Abubakar had withdrawn the money from the Katsina branch of an old generation bank (name withheld) sometime last week and headed back to his office located at the state secretariat.

Sources revealed that on getting to the office, he parked the car outside and entered the office to tidy up the space he wanted to put the money for safe keeping, and by the time he came out to remove the money from his car booth, he discovered that the money was no longer there.

Abubakar was said to have subsequently cried out for help, the development which drew the attention of his other colleagues and that of passers-by. The Police were thereafter invited, and Abubakar has since been with the detectives who are still investigating circumstances surrounding the incident.

The state Police Command’s spokesman, Dsp. Salisu Agaisa, confirmed the development.
Quote
“Yes, I heard something like that. We have someone bearing that name (Abubakar Aliyu) with us. He is assisting us in our investigation, which is still going on,”
Agaisa said.

Why are we still moving cash around in that country. Every worker gat account , why not pay them through their bank account or do other state related business matters through bank accounts ?

"Amo iru yin"...as Yorubas will say.
The money "disappeared" but the car did not, huh?
You didn't "prepare" where to store the money before going to withdraw it huh?
Let the officers torture him with hot pressing iron, like they do in Nollywood, he'll confess
