The Plateau State Deputy Chief of staff to Governor Simon Bako Lalong is dead, Hon, Barr.Yusuf Gambo Hawaja died at about 12:45pm on Sunday on the way to Jankwano, Evangelical Church of Winning All (ECWA) .
He died at the aged of 54 years old leaving behind his aged Hajiya Maryam Hawaja, Four children three girls, a boy and the wife Hajiya Fatima Hawaja.
He has since been buried according Islamic rite, at the Zaria road cemetery after funeral prayers at the Jos Central mosque basked by Chief the imam Jos sheikh Lawal Adams at about 2:30pm where the corpse was taken for final internment.
The family sources confirmed the dead to our correspondent who was at the family residence at Dilmi Street, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday afternoon.
He was reported to have slumped down, and on his way to the hospital he suddenly died before reaching the hospital.
According to his younger sister Hajiya khadija Gambo Hawaja she said , he has been battling with chest pain due to cold illness which he had been attending to medically.
The member representing Jos North North in Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon Ibrahim baba Hassan also confirmed his dead at the family compound.
He expressed shock over the demise of Bar Gambo Hawaja by sending his condolence to the family and government of plateau state.
Hon Ibrahim baba Hassan described late Bar Yusuf Gambo Hawaja as a gentleman and a strong politician whose contribution will be greatly missed in plateau and the country .
He prayed that Allah should comfort the state and the immediate family of their beloved brother, friends.
Hon Hassan led the corpse to Central Mosque down to the burial ground at Zaria road cemetery.
